Teens vs. Smartphones
It was actually a mom that had the idea for a smart phone application that can prevent drivers, while driving, from calling or texting. This is a great application and it works like this. The app called iZUP can detect the speed of the car by using GPS technology. When the car is moving at 5 mph or more, the incoming calls automatically get sent to voice mail and it will hold text messages too. Any calls that are tying to be made a blocked as well, all except for emergency calls to 911 of course.
AT this time it is only available for Research in Motion handsets and BlackBerry phones with Microsoft Windows Mobile as well as Google Android software.
Wouldn’t this be the best and most useful app to have on the phone of your teen. Whether it is appreciated or not doesn’t matter these days, it would just create a peace of mind to the parents.
