iPod Touch’s Holiday Sales

It was the summer of 2007 that the iPhone was first seen as it remains the most revolutionary product of the history of technology. And the poos iPod touch, has seen little publicity even though it hold the same features just without the phone. In the final end of 2009, it was noticed that the sales for iPod touch grew over 100% to a staggering 7.2 billion. At the same time, iPhone sales went to 11.3 million which is an increase of 53%.
The two are very comparable, the iPod touch and the iPhone with both owning the same interface. The main distinction in difference is the iPod touch cannot work on cellular networks making it necessary for owners to be close to Wi-Fi hotspots to download apps or to even get online.
During one day, Dec 24 to the 25th, the amount of apps downloaded to iPhones grew 29% with downloads to iPod touches jumped to over 300%. At least that day, the iPod won the race against the iPhone.
